Stamp Duty

In his recent budget, the Chancellor, extended the 'stamp duty holiday' until the 1st July 2021.

This means anyone buying a new home won’t have to pay any stamp duty up to a purchase price of £500,000. A potential saving of £15,000! Or a new kitchen or car.

From 1st July 2021 until 30th September 2021 the threshold, at which stamp duty is paid, drops to £250,000, still double the normal threshold of £125,000.
